by police. This breakdown's brought to
you by Under Armour. Let's figure out
what happened. We got Washington versus
Atlanta. Angel Ree is going to go up for
this rebound and then her hand hits the
other girl right in the face. They blow
the whistle and they're like, "Yep, you
slapped her in the face." And Angel
Reese is saying, "No,
no, she grabbed me. I didn't hit her in
the head. She grabbed me and then she's
like, "Um, good one. Respect." So, let's
take a look. They both go for the ball
and then she hits her in the head. I
didn't see the grab, but let's watch it
again. They both go for the ball right
there.
Her right hand in red hits Reese's arm,
but that's not a grab. I don't know if
that's what she's talking about. And
then her hand hits her in the head right
there. Scrapes up her nose. And then Ree
kind of flexes her fingernails and gets
her a second time. I think that's just
reflex though. Right here. Bam. Up the
nose. Doesn't feel great. Doesn't really
matter the speed. That never feels
great. Nose sensitive place. From this
angle, you can see the backhand just
flying loosely hits her and then a
little scratch on the hair. So that's
what happened right there. And the coach
is thinking, "Come on. That's the third
time we've been hitting the head this
game." Earlier, same girl took that
elbow to the nose. That didn't feel
good. That knocked her down to the
ground. Uh, also earlier in the game, we
had Angel Reese's left hand hitting this
girl in the face. That gets the top of
her nose, maybe the eyeball. That
doesn't feel good. That sends her down,
hurt, in pain. So, coach is just seeing
his players get hit in the face over and
over. also a lot of what he considers
fouls. Contacts not being called
throughout the game. His team leads the
league in free throws, but in this game,
they did not get to the line a bunch.
Meanwhile, the other team did. So, it
was an aggressive game, but not called
evenly both ways. That's what the coach
is thinking. He's saying, "My girls keep
getting beat up. Their girls aren't
getting called." And then we continue
the game. Angel Ree steals the ball. She
charges down and we've got another foul,
this time against Red. and he's saying,
"What are you talking about? She's
running into him. She's throwing them
all. Come on. He wants a call. He's not
getting it." He goes to the official and
this confused me, but I'm pretty sure
she says, "That's the first time it
happened and we called it." To which he
responds WITH VIGOR, "THAT HAPPENED ALL
OF THE FIRST [ __ ] HALF.
THAT HAPPENED ALL OF THE FIRST [ __ ]
HALF."
AND they're holding him back and he's
saying, "Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Let
me go. Why aren't you guys calling this?
Why aren't YOU GUYS CALLING THIS? Why
the [ __ ] aren't you guys calling this?
What's going on?" Andrew's like, "What's
going on?" Oh, he's mad. What's going on
over there? All of you, why aren't you
calling?
>> I got you. I got you. I got you, bro.
He's looking at the replay right here,
which is only going to make him a little
more upset. His assistant coach, all the
coaches are trying to stop him.
Assistant coach, coach, coach, coach,
coach. He's not listening. The fans are
engaged. Look at this couple taking in
the action. And then this lady's like,
"What is he doing? What is going on?"
Now go top left of the screen. THIS
LADY'S LIKE, "WOW,
this is wild." All of a sudden, the bald
man decides maybe he should say hi. Hi,
bye. You're leaving. And his wife is
like,
he's getting ejected.
And then it's just a ton of people
trying to hold this coach back. Here we
go.
>> Coach, BRO, I GOT YOU. NO, I GOT YOU.
LET me
>> let go of me. Calm down, coach. We good,
coach. You guys have been horrible the
whole time. THE WHOLE [ __ ] TIME. CALM
DOWN. THE WHOLE [ __ ] TIME.
>> WE GOT YOU. We got you.
>> Calm down. Calm down,
>> coach.
>> COACH, STOP NOW.
>> ENOUGH.
>> CALM DOWN. The police officer came and
wrapped him up. He's got his hand on his
belly and you can see there's another
Cop. I don't know if she's a supervisor,
but she sees this go down and she runs
up quick and she grabs her partner's
hands and takes him off the coach and
says to him, "Don't put your hands don't
put your hands on them. Don't do it.
It's a bad look." Maybe for everyone
like we don't need it to get to that cuz
then it just looks crazy. I don't know
why, but she said don't do it. Think
coach realized once he saw the cops
hands around him just leave. He said in
his post game, "Yeah, freaked out. My
bad." yada yada yada yada yada yada
yada. also said, "But we didn't get a
lot of foul calls and our guys got hit
three times in the face, so what's going
on here?"
