Cycling course is designed for wipeouts | Things You Missed
What Happened
The episode highlighted a quad-skate league in Spain where a goalie made a dramatic flip-over kick save, then covered a World Cup qualifying game where Lithuania erased a late deficit against Great Britain. Ignis Sarunis hit three straight threes, including a half-court buzzer-beater, giving him nine points in 12 seconds as Lithuania won. It also showed South Dakota State wrestling trying to snap a 51-year drought against Minnesota, with heavyweight Luke Res Muen getting a late reversal while SDSU trailed 14-12.

Click timestamps to jump to that momentOne of the best saves you'll ever see
comes from this roller skate league in
Spain, I believe. Not rollerblades.
These are quad skates. It looks more
like a version of Bandandy, which is a
European version of hockey, but this is
tight quarters inside. And that's the
save. How about that? You're going to
want to watch the replay. I'll show it
to you. Don't worry. Goalie's on one
side, puck goes the other. He flips
over. Kick save and a beauty. That's
something you missed that you never
planned on watching. And this is
everything you missed that you never
planned on watching. Today's episode
brought to you by DraftKings Sportsbook.
Great Britain had a 99.9%
chance to win this World Cup qualifying
game against Lithuania, whose fans
they're checking their watches, their
board. They're down by seven with 12
seconds, but we got a deep three from
number 43. He was previously one for
five from three-point range, but now
he's two for six. His name is Ignis
Sarunis, and he's about to become a
hero. He's about to beat Tracy McGrady.
He's the next best threes and bunches
player. Here he is. He commits the foul.
Uh and and give him credit for that. And
the guy misses the first one. So it
stays a four-point game, but then he
makes the second. She's pumped about it
because now it's a five-point game. But
number 43's got it again. Gets to his
spot, throws it up. Bam. Three more
points. Two threes in a row. Now you got
a one-point game. They call timeout.
They get their bearings. The crowd,
they're pumped now. They're awake now.
They actually start. Oh yeah. A little a
little Look. Boom boom clap. Boom boom
clap. It's uh we will rock you. They
love it over there. We rock you. Yeah,
I'm on beat. I'm doing it.
Anyway, so now they got to inbound it.
They got to kill clock, not get fouled.
And instead, he doesn't catch the ball.
But you KNOW WHO DOES? SLUDES. AND HE
HITS the three. Nine points in 12
seconds. And the last one's a buzzer
beater. Lithuania beats Great Brin. The
crowd can't believe it. We were asleep.
We were checking our watches. And now we
have to remember this guy's name
forever. Ignas. I'm not pronouncing it
correctly, but that's his name. That one
was from half court. The kids are
pumped. They're excited. Moving on to
college wrestling where we had a 51year
drought snapped. South Dakota State had
not beaten Minnesota in 51 years since
1974.
And in this final matchup between the
heavyweights, SDSU is trailing 14-12.
Luke Res Muen, he's down. He's down a
point and there's only 30 seconds and
Hopkkey is just riding him just rolling
it out. Just he's got the lead. He just
needs to keep the lead because Ras Musa
needs to win and win by a couple points
for his whole school, his whole team to
win. That was a big wedgie we just saw.
He's trying to make things happen.
Nothing's happening. We get down to 14
seconds, 13 seconds, 12, 11, and now
he's got his move and he gets the
reversal. He gets on top of him and then
he's going to get him. They start the
count. One, two, three. But it's all
right. He got two nearfall points. Two
points for the reversal, bringing it to
seven. It was four to three. He got four
points in the final like 5 seconds to
win seven to four, which not only gave
him the victory, but gave the whole team
the victory. Now, if that's not how the
points happened, let me know cuz I
checked three different places and
that's what I gathered. Two points cuz
he got two seconds nearfall points. He
kind of gave up once he knew he got
those. Oh my god. The guy on the right
uh right here in the gray shirt GETS
ATTACKED. OH. OH, his boys are pumped.
Dramatic finish. South Dakota State
beats Minnesota. First time since Jer
Ford was in office. This episode of

is the Cyclross World Cup in Zan Hovind,
Belgium. This course is known for being
crazy. It's tactical. We're in the snow.
We've got tight turns that you can't
just whip through. We've got the pit,
which is actually called something else
because it's not an English name. It's
called Deool. I don't know if I'm saying
that correctly, but look at this. Look
at this race. So, the top three are the
favorites and they're in first place and
they're just slowly going through those
hairpin turns in the snow and that's the
easy obstacle cuz up next is the pit of
sand and downhill and it's this clip
went viral for a good reason. It made me
belly laugh and it's just the first
person goes, "Nope, not going to happen.
Okay, I'm in first place now. This is
awesome." Oh Okay, I'll take the
lead. Ah man. So then they all get on
their bikes and they run out of it. But
now let me explain some of these
characters to you. The person in second
place here that is Lucinda Brandt. She
has won 13 in a row. She sits
comfortably at the top of the
leaderboard. And then this one coming
down in third place. The third person to
crash right here into the sideboards.
I'm going to say this wrong, but we'll
say Alvarado just last name. That is
Salem Del Carman Alvarado and she is
going to end up winning this thing in
third. She runs out in third. Now
everyone else comes down and they find
their ridges or find their lines. Never
mind. I mean that guy got hurt and this
guy goes right into him and it's pretty
funny. It looks like um MXC when the
just it just looks like a a wipeout
course, but it's an actual not a TV
show. That's a joke. Look at this crash
over the handlebars and then the the
second crash actually my favorite. Just
wobbling the bike goes over her head and
you're allowed to just pick up your bike
and run is I guess that's like the cross
country part of it because some of these
it's so dangerous. It's bizarre. I've
never seen this before to be honest
which is the whole point of the show.
We're showing you stuff you never seen
before. But look at this. They're in the
snow and Brand has it. She's in first
place. She's going to win her 14th in a
row. But Alvarado won on this course
last year, knows how to race this
course, loves it, and takes the lead
when Brand steered off into the snow
into the barrier. And then our our our
rider Alvarado
she picks up her bike, she runs. We'll
fast forward to the rest. The crowd's
there. It's cold. They love it. They
probably just really want people to
fall. It's like Big Daddy going to
Central Park and throwing sticks at the
Rollerbladers.
Nothing else happened. They finished
normal after that. Kaen Del Carmen
Alvarado
wins. Oh yeah. And she's pumped about
it. And that's what it says here. She
won this track last time. Finally, we go
to the World Juniors where Czech has
broken the Canadians heart once again.
And Czech is up 4 to3 with just under 3
minutes left to go. This is the
semifinal. Czech has sent Canada home
the last 2 years. And it looks like it's
about to happen again. But Canada says
not this time. They tie the game with
240 left. They got one more goal and
then they're going to the championship.
They're back in play. They're not losing
check. They're having fun. The captain
gets it done for them. Look at this.
Just a little rebound picking up the
garbage. Celebrating. 241 left. Okay,
now we're 118 left. 117 and the puck is
just bouncing around and gets in the
back of the net. No, it's happened
again. They cannot believe it. They're
dog piling. The fans are crying with
joy. The fans are crying of sadness. The
fans are stunned. It's three years in a
row this is happening. Here's the
overhead. It did go off his skate, but
they ruled it was not a kicking motion.
It just happened. So therefore, the goal
stands. Canada trying to do it again to
tie it up again. Charge the net and then
charge the goalie. He goes down the
plays on for a little bit, but clearly a
whistle is going to be blown. Oh, he
says, "Oh my god, he just runs right
into that goalie who gets hit in the
front and then hits his head on the back
of the crossbar. That couldn't have been
fun." So that's going to kill Canada's
chances because now they're on a penalty
kill and they got to pull their goalie.
This guy is just mad. You off. That
basically sealed it for Czech who would
go on to lose to Sweden and Canada went
on to win the third place game. So they
did meddal. Do Canadians hate the check?
No. But they're disappointed that they
keep losing to them over and over.
