Umpire makes two wrong calls then ejects Cody Bellinger, a breakdown
What Happened
In a close eighth-inning Dodgers-Angels game, Cody Bellinger objected after two consecutive pitches off the plate were called strikes by the umpire. After a pitch down the middle ended his at-bat and a double play ended the inning, Bellinger yelled that the calls were “this far off the plate” and called the umpire “brutal.” He was ejected, making the sequence notable for the two disputed strike calls and the argument that followed.
