Ohio State vs. Texas was a close game until it wasn't, a breakdown
What Happened
In a hard-fought semifinal matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Texas Longhorns, the game remains close throughout the fourth quarter. On a crucial fourth-and-two play, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud keeps the ball and barrels forward for the first down, pumping up the Buckeyes sideline with his determination. Ohio State continues to march down the field, handing the ball off to running back Miyan Williams, who powers his way into the end zone for a touchdown. The extra point is good, giving the Buckeyes a 21-14 lead over the Longhorns. Texas gets the ball back, and wide receiver Isaiah Neyor makes a nice catch to move the chains. However, Neyor then taunts the Ohio State defender, drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. This upsets the Texas sideline, with players shaking their heads at the mistake. The Longhorns continue to push downfield, with quarterback Quinn Ewers connecting on a deep ball. But Ohio State's defense steps up, with linebacker Jack Sawyer delivering a huge strip-sack that he recovers himself, taking it the other way for a momentum-shifting touchdown. Sawyer's former roommate, Buckeyes quarterback Stroud, celebrates excitedly on the sideline. "Me and Quinn, you know, we have a good friendship," Sawyer says. "I'm excited to play against him. He's a great player, had a great year, had a great career at Texas." With just two minutes remaining, Texas makes one final push, but Ohio State's defense comes up with a game-sealing interception by cornerback Ryan Watts. The Buckeyes faithful erupt in cheers, knowing their team is headed to the national championship game. "Hallelujah to you, hallelujah. like oh my goodness like oh boy we got
to go for it they've been all over the
quarterback and eventually yep big strip
sack from Jack soor number 33 gets his
own rebound on the ball and takes it all
the way

that's what he's shrugging about like

able to hold his hands basically like in
a dance position right here and holds
him just long enough now on the right
side what he does because he kind of
uses that move on the right side he
flashes the right hand up so 56 thinks
they're Dosey Do again and then just
swim moves underneath is that a swim
move when you go under or is it only
when you go over let me know and just
blows by him I
mean you know I wonder if that's what
the memory is but look at this so on the
left both hands go up almost touches him
in the helmet on the right he fakes like
he's about to go up right hand is going
up and as soon as 56 arm is above his he
rips it underneath bam just got to set

all over him anyway like they were
getting to the quarterback almost
every play before that crazy that it
bounced right into his hands that's
pretty nuts and oh there's number 26 in

then the crazier thing is him and the
quarterback were roommates a lot of
people don't know coin was my roommate
when he was is here so me and Quinn you
know we have a good friendship and uh
I'm excited to play against him you know
he's a great player had a great year had
has had a great career at Texas yeah so
number three was roommates with number
33 all threes and then they got got
maybe familiar already helped out here
probably not probably had nothing to do
with it but yeah tackles his old
quarterback which makes his current
quarterback very excited on the
sidelines like very excited comes up to
him are you freaking kidding me let's

see it this is why I stick around all
these years but Texas still has the ball

and then suddenly it was not close at
all and it was uh lopsided and number
two just had a read on this play the
whole way I guess too or maybe not QB
just didn't see him Coach loves it

about it skipping downfield yeah yeah
