broken the Canadians heart once again.
Czech is up four to three with just
under three minutes left to go. This is
the semi-final. Czech has sent Canada
home the last two years and it looks
like it's about to happen again. But
Canada says not this time. They tied the
game with 2:40 left. They got one more
goal and then they're going to the
championship. They're back in play.
They're not losing Czech. They're having
fun. The captain gets it done for them.
Look at this, just a little rebound,
picking up the garbage. Now we're 1:18
left, 1:17 and the puck is just bouncing
around and gets in the back of the net.
No, [screaming] it's happened again.
They cannot believe it. They're dog
piling. The fans are crying with joy.
The fans are crying of sadness. The fans
are stunned. It's three years in a row
this is happening. Here's the overhead.
It did go off his skate, but they ruled
it was not a kicking motion. It just
happened. So therefore the goal stands.
Canada trying to do it again, to tie it
up again. Charge the net and then charge
the goalie. He goes down. The play's on
for a little bit, but clearly a
whistle's going to be blown. Oh, he
says, "Oh my god. What do you think I
did?" And I mean he gets like pushed a
little bit.
But he and he is bracing his fall, but I
mean he just runs right into that
goalie. He gets hit in the front and
then hits his head on the back of the
crossbar. So that's going to kill
Canada's chances cuz now they're on a
penalty kill and an empty net. This guy
is just mad. You [ __ ] off. Yeah.
Get out of here. They end up utilizing
the power play and the empty net. They
go up two. That basically sealed it for
Czech who would go on to lose to Sweden
and Canada
went on to win the third place game. So
they did medal. This guy was mad looking
at me like, "Go [ __ ] off. [ __ ] you."
He's just mad at everyone. That neck
guard's not doing anything. I love
watching goalies celebrate cuz they're
all by themselves for a while. They
don't have a team to do it with. It's
just a couple moments where like they're
just they just got to do whatever they
can. So
