Throughout the round, McBeth stayed locked in, birdieing hole after hole and keeping pace under pressure.
On hole 17, the pressure mounted. McBeth used his forehand with a controlled shot, setting up a tricky putt which he nailed. His confidence stayed high heading into hole 18. From the tee, he cleared the water and aimed for the narrow fairway gap. He landed close, giving himself a look at birdie to close out the round. With nerves in check, he delivered and stared down the basket with a fist pump after the final putt dropped. The crowd responded, and McBeth walked off with 18-under on the card, a rare and impressive round by one of the sport’s top players.
