Deebo Samuel shoves 49ers long snapper after three missed kicks, a breakdown
What Happened
The San Francisco 49ers are trying to extend their lead before halftime with a field goal attempt. Kicker Jake Moody, who the team said looked great in practice coming off an injury, misses the first field goal attempt. In the fourth quarter with 12 minutes to go, Moody misses another field goal try, this one from 50 yards that would have put the 49ers up by one point. Cameras show 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan visibly upset, yelling "God damn it!" after the second missed kick. Moody gets another chance to extend the 49ers' lead, this time from 44 yards, but he misses that one as well, his third miss of the game. Teammates and coaches try to console the struggling kicker, knowing no one is beating themselves up more than Moody. However, 49ers star wide receiver Deebo Samuel appears to say something to Moody, and the 49ers' long snapper steps in to defend his teammate. The long snapper then shoves Samuel by the neck, knocking his helmet back. Moody then puts his hands in the long snapper's face, and Samuel tells the long snapper "What are you gonna do? Get out of here." The game remains a close three-point affair in the final minute. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield completes a key pass, drawing a personal foul penalty on the 49ers. This extends the Buccaneers' drive, and they are able to tie the game with a field goal as time expires, sending the game to overtime. In the extra period, the 49ers get another chance at a game-winning field goal. Moody, attempting to redeem himself, lines up for a 44-yard kick, the same distance as his previous three misses. This time, Moody's kick splits the uprights, giving the 49ers a hard-fought 27-24 victory. Shanahan and the 49ers coaching staff congratulate Moody, with Shanahan saying in the postgame press conference that he simply told Moody to "lock in" and that the long snapper was just being a "big bro" in defending his teammate.

then Moody reacts by putting his hands
in the long Snapper's face and it looks
like Debo says like uh what are you GNA

and Long Snapper is pissed you know he's
mad at him he says you think he's not
trying you
