What Happened
The UCLA coach ejected one of his own players from the game while his team was losing by 27 points. The player had acted aggressively towards an opposing player, and the coach disciplined him, saying "You're not going to the bench, dude. You're going to the locker room. Get out of here." After the incident, the coach had a testy exchange with a reporter who asked about the crowd's reaction.

Nuh-uh. He starts walking to the bench.
Coach says, "You're not going to the
bench, dude. You're going to the locker
room. Get out of here." Yo. Hey. Hey.
Get him out OF HERE. GET HIM out of
here. Go. Looks [ __ ] Go. Whoa, coach.
Whole crowd is just enjoying waving THEM
GOODBYE. [ __ ] YOU. GET OUT OF HERE. Look
at these guys so angry. Get out of here.
Go. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. He's sad about it.
Well, how bad was it? Here you go. up in
the air and he's going to jump from
behind and just slap, rip his arm, jump
into him. Coach said, "You want to act
like you're tough, play tough early in
the game, get some rebounds, box some
people out. Don't do it when you're down
27 and a guy's in the middle of the air,
but he's standing tough looking at him.
Look at this guy. Oh,
your coach is going to be so mad at
you." Then I'd be remiss not to include
the exchange coach had afterwards.

dude.

checked the decibels. He didn't really
raise his voice.

standing here listening to you.
