Fans pull out all the moves to get the Yankees the win, a breakdown
What Happened
In a close game against the White Sox, the New York Yankees are trailing by one run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Leadoff hitter Anthony Volpe steps up to the plate and delivers a crucial single, putting the tying run on base. Luis Gill celebrates the hit, while Wesley Cabrera tries to settle him down. As the at-bat continues, the Yankee fans in the stands become increasingly involved, flashing lights and doing the team's signature "claw" hand gesture to show their support. Volpe advances to third on a double play, setting the stage for the heart of the Yankees' lineup. Superstar slugger Aaron Judge is intentionally walked, bringing up Cody Bellinger. After a wild pitch allows the tying run to score, the fans erupt in excitement, high-fiving and dancing in the stands. They try every superstitious move they can think of - from rally hats to good luck kisses - to will the Yankees to victory. The at-bat between Bellinger and reliever Jose Caballero becomes an epic battle, with the fans fully engaged, clapping, pointing, and even hugging each other in anticipation. Caballero battles back from a full count, but on the 2-2 pitch, Bellinger puts the ball in play. Center fielder Michael A. Taylor hesitates, and the throw home is spiked, allowing the winning run to score. The Yankees' bench erupts in celebration, with Oswaldo Cabrera and Oswald Peraza racing to greet the hero, Jose Caballero. Caballero, realizing the game is won, begins sprinting and jumping around the field, overcome with emotion. The Yankee fans, who played a crucial role in the comeback, continue their raucous celebration as the team clinches a playoff berth.

So they're doing it.
They're on.
They're celebrating.
They're claw hands or whatever the hell that is that the Yankees do.
The bench loves it.
Let's go!
And now up comes the big sleep.
Grisham, he's been clutch all year.
Can he do it?
No.
He hits into a double play.
It does move the tying run to third.
That's helpful, but it's a double play, and now there's a base open.
So they say, hey, Phil, Phil, Phil, four, four.
We're going to walk judge.
We're going to walk judge because we don't want to face him
because he's really good.
So now.
Well, Bellinger's up, and the first pitch below the zone.
The next pitch high.
Call to strike one and one.
Next pitch outside.
Big swing.
Okay.
Full count.
That's fouled back, and then way above everyone's head.
Volpe, the double play moved him to third.
The tying run.
He scores.
He doesn't slide.
He just runs straight to the dugout to celebrate with the crew.
Now Heal is giving hugs.

High five, high five, high five.
Probably kept going forever.
They bring a new pitcher in to face Jose Caballero,
and now they're dancing in the crowd.
Say, why don't we do this thing?
Why don't we do this thing?
You know, this is good luck.
Let's do this thing.
And then over there, they're like, why don't we just stand up?
Yeah, just stand up.
Yeah, just stand up.
And then this guy's like, all right, I'll do it.
I'll do whatever.
Here we go.
First pitch, he takes it.
Breaking ball away.

Now we've got the hat, the voodoo hat, the rally hat.
Ooh, and now we've got the backwards hat.
Anything and anything and anything to help the team.
Fouled back.
Cool bat spin, though.
Two strikes.
A strike away from losing.
Volpe looking on.
Jazz.
Jazz looking on intensely.
Goldie is looking on.
Everybody is looking on.
Everybody is staring.
Everybody is focused.
A strike away from winning.
But the hat's dancing.
Oh, yeah.
The hat's dancing.
We're doing everything we can in the crowd.
We're high-fiving.
We're thumbs-upping.
We're pointing.
We're giving kisses.
A good luck kiss.
Oh, yeah.
Good luck kiss.
Oh, yeah.
Look at him.
Look at her.
She's like, did you like that?
Is that okay?
Was that cool that we did that?
You want to do it every pitch?
Well, if it works, we'll do it every pitch.
If it works, but then the game would be over.
Okay.
Maybe more pitches.
Ball.
Low.
Good.
Now we get more dancing hat.
We get more voodoo.
Do we get more good luck kisses?
Yeah.
Oh, we're doing it again.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
We did it again.
2-2.
Foul.
Back.
Down the line.
Out of play.
Dancing hat.
Vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom.
Ooh.
And now just a little hangout with the boy.
Check out this kid.
Oh, yeah.
We're doing it.

Foul back again.
More voodoo.
Dancing hat.

Foul back again.
The fastball.
Oh.
Ooh.

Foul again.
This time down the line.
Into the crowd.
What a battle it's been.
Volpe looking on.
Wow.
This is going on forever.
This fan praying, hoping, wishing.
The hat is still going.
It's going.
It's going strong.
But what are we doing on the other side?
Okay.
We're dancing now.
Everybody dance.
Let's dance.
And then we're going to swing with the batter.
And then I'm going to jump into my dad.
If that's his dad.
2-2.
That one is put into play.
It's going to drop.
Judge was on the move.
The throw didn't come home.
The Yankees win.
They clinch.
They gained a game in the division against the Blue Jays.
They clinched a postseason berth.
They came from behind to win it.
Jose Cabrera.
Cabrera gets it done with an awesome at-bat.
Fouled a bunch of two-strike pitches.
This ball, Michael A. Taylor looks like he decides,
I'm not going to catch it.
So let me get ready for the throw.
Because he could have decided to go all out and catch it
and put a diving effort.
It was a shallow ball.
He's very good, though.
I think he says, no, I don't think I'm going to catch it.
So I'm going to slow up and make the perfect throw.
But instead, Spike.
Just spiked it.
Just spiked it right to the lip of the grass.
And Judge scores easily.
Now, the bench, they were excited.
Rosario and Dominguez, they've got a little bit of a battle going.
Rosario came to the Yankees.
He's like, I'm going to be the first guy out of the dugout.
Dominguez has been challenging him lately, being ahead of him.
And here, a little respect paid by Dominguez, but still competition.
Volpe jumps.
McMahon jumps.
And look at these guys.
They're still tethered at the hip.
And now they're both late to the party because they played too much.
Defense, not enough offense.
Jose Caballero, he never considered maybe Michael A. Taylor would make a diving catch.
Maybe Michael A. Taylor would throw Judge out at home plate.
Never considered either of those options.
As soon as he put it in play, he started celebrating, screaming, and enjoying his walk-off.
It was very likely that he could have made a diving catch or a throw.
Not very likely, but, you know, it could have happened.
But it didn't.
And he knew it.
And he's fired up.
He's going to get water.
Here, he's going to get water.
There, he's going to get water.
Everywhere, the Yankees, with the help from the fans, win a fun one.
