Stroman and Nogowski don't talk sh*t to each other, a breakdown

What Happened

The New York Mets' pitcher Marcus Stroman takes the mound against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the second half of the season. The Mets are trailing by one run with a runner on third base. Stroman strongly disagrees with the umpire's call, indicating the pitch was outside or high. The count is now 2-0 to Pirates first baseman John Nogowski, a player Stroman does not seem familiar with. Nogowski fouls off the next pitch, bringing the count to 2-1. Stroman takes his time on the next delivery, angering the umpire who grants Nogowski's request for time. Stroman expresses his frustration, saying he's trying to disrupt Nogowski's timing. The next pitch is a 90 mph strike, evening the count at 2-2. On the full-count pitch, Nogowski lines the ball hard, but Mets first baseman Pete Alonso makes the catch to end the inning. Stroman reacts with excitement, yelling "Keep talking shit! Keep talking shit!" Nogowski, however, remains calm and simply wipes the sweat from his face. Stroman continues to shout at Nogowski, saying "No one's fucking talking shit to you. Who's talking shit to you? Shut the fuck up." The two players then get into a brief confrontation, with teammates quickly intervening to separate them. Stroman appears to have some kind of physical issue, hunching over and needing assistance to get to the dugout. Later, Stroman can be seen leaning on the railing at the top of the dugout, still engaging with Nogowski. He questions why Nogowski "ran away" and tells him "I thought it was over. You're just talking shit, fuck to me." Nogowski calmly replies, "You talking shit, three, two, fuck, fuck. You running away, you running away, you running away, fuck boy." The heated exchange between the two players adds an extra layer of intensity to this close, late-season matchup between the Mets and Pirates. Despite the competitive tension, neither side appears willing to back down, ensuring this moment will be remembered as a fiery chapter in their teams' rivalry.
