Pitcher ejected after game ends, a breakdown
What Happened
In the bottom of the ninth inning of a Double-A matchup between the Blue Wahoos and the Shuckers (Marlins and Brewers affiliates), pitcher Abner Uribe is on the mound trying to close out a two-run game for the Shuckers. Uribe, who was recently promoted to Triple-A, starts the inning by getting the first batter to strike out swinging on a nasty slider. With one out, the next batter steps up, and Uribe continues to mix his pitches well, getting ahead in the count 0-2 with a combination of a fastball and a changeup. Uribe then finishes off the batter with a slider for the second out. The game is now in the Shuckers' hands, with the pitcher one out away from sealing the victory. Uribe appears to be in control, but the umpire then calls a ball on what seemed like a close pitch, frustrating the young pitcher. Uribe checks the runner at second base, stalling for time, as the umpire warns him about the pitch clock. The next pitch results in the runner advancing to third base, adding some late drama to the game. Uribe remains composed, however, and sets up the batter with another 0-2 count. But as he prepares to deliver the final pitch, the umpire calls a balk, allowing the runner to score and making it a one-run game. Visibly upset, Uribe expresses his displeasure to the umpire, who then ejects him from the game, even though the game has already ended. Uribe argues, but the umpire stands firm in his decision, and the young pitcher is forced to leave the field. Despite the late-inning drama, Uribe's overall performance was impressive, showcasing the electric stuff that earned him a promotion to Triple-A. Brewers fans will be eager to see how Uribe handles the higher level of competition as he continues to develop his skills on the mound.

SeatGeek and it is between the Blue
Wahoos and the Shuckers the Marlins and
Brewers double A Affiliates Uribe on the
bump he just got promoted the AAA
actually that pitch was the first one
the Umpire had to call baller strike and
he called it a strike and now he's got
two strikes on the batter tries to go
nasty slider hits him in the foot
they've got a runner on no outs next
batter comes up he's gonna open him up
fastball with a little arm Side Run and
then a nasty change up over that nice
combination 0-2 goes back to the
fastball once the call does not get it
so he's a little ticked off and then
slider strike three you did swing you
got fooled you're out so now there's one
out and the double plays in order so
they're in good shape they also have a
two run lead first pitch heater Double
Play No it ate them up but they do get
the out at second one out to go and this
game's over that looked like a I don't
know a cutter or a change up or
something for strike one that's a nice
slider for strike two now he's got this
batter Owen two and he hasn't even
thrown his 99 mile per hour fastball
with a little bit of arm side run or his
Wipeout slider so he's kind of in a good
spot he's thinking which one do I want
to throw how do I want to end this game
do I want to dominate with the fastball
do I want to go slider the catcher's
putting the fingers down both of them
have completely forgotten that there's a
pitch clock and you kind of got to get
going and now he's stalling and he
checks the runner the Yum says too long
song that was too long too long that's a
ball so now it's a one and two count and
at some point the runner got the second
base on us they didn't really show that
in the broadcast he must have stole and
he steps off he's like I got to think
about this I'm mad I'm mad at the UMP I
don't think he counted right I don't
think he got it right catcher's like
forget about it dude you're one strike
away from ending the game that doesn't
matter at all who cares we were gonna
throw a waste pitch anyway so let's just
throw that same waste pitch let's not
let it alter our plan let's throw that
nasty slider you got do it bring it
let's go here's the no bite kind
of eats up The Catcher And now that
runner's on third base
so
not good not a good sequence is this the
unraveling of Abner Uribe on the bump
not really he got promoted to AAA after
this game two and two fastball that gets
by the catcher as well and now the
runners coming home and do they have a
play safe safe and he's just kind of
upset because he doesn't want any of
this to happen do you need this ball
says the Umpire says I'm not even
looking at you I'm so mad at you he
spikes the other ball kind of at his
catcher is he mad at his catcher for
missing and then he turns and he says
you know what okay now I want that ball
I'm just like I'll toss it okay fine
I'll hand it to the catcher I'll hand it
to the catcher so maybe he's mad at the
Umpire maybe he's mad at the catcher
maybe he's a competitor and just likes
being a little angry but I did like how
much smoke just popped up off the
catcher's glove and by smoke I mean dirt
and you all knew that you weren't gonna
question it all right so now it's a full
count what's he go with fastball in the
zone swings over it he's got electric
stuff just got promoted to AAA I think
Brewers fans are a little excited about
him but he does let the UMP know Screw
you and he says no you're out of the
game and they're like the game's over
what are you talking about
your jurisdiction has ended you can't do
anything
