Catcher denies the batter’s handshake, a breakdown

it's weird, right? What is this about? I

tried to read his lips. So, I I thought

maybe he was saying, you know, I got a

stomach bug. I don't want to get you

sick. But after the game, it came out

that he just said, "No, it's a

competitive spirit, and I need to keep

that edge, so I don't want to be

friendly with the other team." Tried my

best to read his lips, but it's hard

because they cut away. I think the first

shot is him just saying, "Oh, I don't

want to shake your hand cuz I'm playing

and it feels weird." Blah, blah. I don't

I don't really I don't know. I was going

to make a video excusing it, but then he

came out and said, "No, he just doesn't

want to do that." Which I guess is fine

if that's what you need to play well.

You got to know thyself, but it's pretty

awkward. The check batter is like, "All

right, okay. What up?" That's how he

says hi to the umpire. Sup? Like, you're

cool with me? And then it was the first

that bat of the game when this happened.

And we get strike one, we get strike

two, and we get ball one, and we get

ball two, and then we get swing and miss

at strike three. And maybe he's confused

now. Like, was that gamesmanship? Did he

get in my head? Walks off confused. We

got a real tasty bite in the crowd. And

then we got, you know, just a baby like

waving to the camera like, "Okay, I'll

wave to you." What do you guys think?

Also, the other weird element to this is

that they showed this clip at the very

end of the game as their sign off, like

one of their signoff highlights. See,

they're advertising the next game. So,

someone in the broadcast truck saw this

happen at the beginning of the game and

saved it and said, "We'll do this in the

the outro package of highlights."

Usually, they show like the highlights

from the game, like home runs and stuff.

And they decided that this was

interesting, which I don't blame them.

It is interesting, but it does feel like

you're kind of throwing the catcher

under the bus. But again, the catcher

did this. So, I don't know. I reached

out. This catcher, everyone says he's a

veteran. Really nice guy. Like, no

malice to him. If that's what he needs

to save his competitive fire, then okay,
