What Happened
In the highly anticipated matchup between the Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals, all eyes are on Tim Anderson as he steps up to the plate for his first at-bat in the series. Anderson and the Royals have a well-documented history of bad blood and this is his first time facing them since their previous altercation. On the second pitch of the at-bat, Anderson is hit in the head by a changeup from the Royals' pitcher. The umpire immediately ejects the pitcher, citing the league's "zero-tolerance policy" on such incidents. Anderson and Royals catcher Salvador Maldonado are visibly upset, arguing that it was clearly an unintentional pitch that simply got away from the pitcher. The White Sox dugout erupts in outrage, with Anderson's teammates and manager defending him and questioning the umpire's decision. The Royals' manager, Ned Yost, also protests vehemently, insisting that there's "no way" the pitcher would intentionally hit Anderson with a changeup in that situation. As the tensions flare, the crowd at the stadium reacts with a mix of shock and excitement, capturing the intensity of the moment. The pitcher himself appears remorseful, immediately gesturing an apology to Anderson and the umpire. The incident highlights the long-standing rivalry between these two teams and the high emotions that come with it. Anderson, known for his outspoken personality and flair for the dramatic, is visibly shaken but determined to move forward and focus on the game. As the game continues, the umpire's decision to eject the pitcher becomes a topic of debate among the commentators, who question whether the "zero-tolerance policy" was applied appropriately in this case. They note that the pitch appeared to be a genuine mistake and the umpire's swift action may have escalated the situation unnecessarily. Regardless of the outcome, this confrontation between the White Sox and Royals is sure to add another chapter to the ongoing saga of their heated rivalry. The players and fans alike will be eagerly anticipating the next matchup between these two teams, as the tension and drama show no signs of dissipating anytime soon.

Royals have a long-standing beef and
this is his first at-bat in the series
missed the first two games hit right in
the head on the second pitch he sees mom
says you're out of here because the um
probably was prepped of all this history
and he says that was a changeup why are
you throwing me out for a changeup
Maldonado is going crazy because that's
what he brings to the team just defense
and having these guys back not much
offense that was a changeup those Ned
Yost he's not gonna hit him with a
[ __ ] changeup wipes his mouth he's
drooling me a lot not gonna [ __ ] hit
him and hit him with a changeup no
[ __ ] chance he meant to hit him right
there I'm says I don't care man it was a
0-0 policy whatever that is it's a bad
pitch he's not trying to hit him very
upset
then this hump comes up and kind of
proves the point because the next dump
comes up and says what happened last
time so it seems like these dumps were
prepped there's beef if Anderson gets
hit you gotta toss someone out right
away no matter the circumstances and
that's probably with you I'm saying even
though it's a changeup still pretty
scary for Tim Anderson to get a ball
coming right your face these are all the
pitches that this pitcher through before
this pitch I wanted to see if he was
erratic not really
pepper in the bottom of the zone this
one up here is a 94 mile that was a
fastball and this one's a fastball so
the only changeup that missed location
was this one so you want to make the
argument well they missed they used the
change-up just so they would have this
argument Wow I don't care
but look at this every last pitch of
every at-bat was a 94 mile-per-hour
fastball that's interesting kind of all
right hit play keep going so also
Maldonado got the ball taking off his
mask no one's talking about that this
guy in the crowd has a great reaction
good gift as soon as he sees him get
thrown out right here oh and he claps oh
this is exciting
good reaction by the pitcher too he goes
immediately to his hand that wasn't it
wasn't supposed to happen sorry I'm
sorry about that sorry about that and
then he goes what it's a changeup it's a
circle change this changeup repeatedly
was a changeup this changeup is a change
up the chain whoa whoa whoa
whoa whoa
