Thailand beats Korea in kick volleyball (Sepak Takraw,) a breakdown
What Happened
In a thrilling match of sepak takraw, or "kick volleyball," Thailand squares off against Korea. Thailand has already won the first game in this best-of-three series and they now lead Korea 18-12 in the second game. Korea immediately cuts the deficit to 18-13, but Thailand quickly regains control, moving to match point at 19-13. The Thailand players demonstrate incredible athleticism, soaring high into the air to block and spike the ball. One Thailand player leaps up to block the shot, but just misses. Fortunately, his teammate is there to put the ball over the net, securing the winning point for Thailand. With the score now 22-14, Thailand is serving for the match. The Korea player serves and Thailand sets up a powerful spike. The Korea defenders manage to get a block on the shot, but the ball still falls to the court, giving Thailand the 21-14 victory in the second game. "Look how crazy this sport is," exclaims the commentator. "They do this regularly. Baseball players pull muscles all the time and these dudes are just non-stop acting like they live on a trampoline. It makes no sense." Thailand's head coach, Somkiat Chuengsatiansup, is overjoyed with the win, noting that his team has now won eight consecutive matches. "I'm very excited about it," he says. Sepak takraw requires incredible skill and athleticism, as players must use only their feet, knees, chest and head to control the ball. The small, rattan ball bounces rapidly, forcing the athletes to time their movements precisely to block, set and spike effectively. This match between regional rivals Thailand and Korea showcases the speed, power and artistry of this unique sport. Thailand's superior teamwork and individual talent proved too much for Korea to overcome, as the Thai squad clinched the victory to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

points away and Thailand wins and going
for the kill and they get the point

he missed the block his guy behind him
puts it up now the same guy goes for the
spike he was just up in the air for the
block and it goes over the net and it
wins Wow now it's game point and here he
wants to finish it with authority but he
over kicks it he's smiling a little bit
because he knows he got a little
overzealous look at the screen grab of
how high this dude is this makes no
sense how he didn't break his neck he
just falls they just know how to fall

it up for the big spike they block it
but they don't Thailand wins they beat
Korea 21 to 14 in foot volleyball or
kick volleyball or say paektu gras and
yeah man this is crazy
this is one of those sports where you
look at it like I can't even attempt
this everything about me will break they
