What Happened
In a tense moment at Yankee Stadium, New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge fields a foul ball that bounces into the stands. The crowd erupts in a commotion, with the disappointed fan who initially missed the ball visibly upset. Judge, known for his gregarious personality, appears frustrated by the sequence of events, muttering, "Maybe you should have just caught it." Click timestamps to jump to that momentWe had a tough scene for some fans in the Bronx as this foul ball bounces off the padding and
into the field. The Yankees don't have ball boys anymore. Or no, that ball girl, she looked like
she was going to get it, but then Judge gets it. Then he makes the brutal mistake of trying to
give it to someone in the front row. Now, that kid drops it. And that's the risk you run as a
fielder. I would never do it. I would go top deck. I would go high. You just can't front row it
because then you got to walk all the way over there and give it back. And Judge is a nice guy.
He grabs it. Now he's got to reach down again because he kind of bobbled it. And he's going to
try to give it to the same kid. This kid in the away jersey, long sleeve in this glove. Now this
kid, his hand, since he's older, is longer. His arm's longer. He's reaching out. And what we have
here is Judge clearly, he's turning his hand around and you can see he's trying to push
the ball. He's trying to push the ball. He's trying to push the ball. He's trying to push the
ball. He's trying to push the ball. He's trying to push the ball. He's trying to push the ball. He's
trying to push the ball into the kid's glove who dropped it. He's being a good guy. But the
other kid who's got a longer arm snatches it and says, I'll take it before it gets to that glove.
And Judge at this point is like, man, maybe you should have just caught it. And that kid is
screaming. And he's going to, and look at the kid behind the baseball right now. He knows what just
happened. He's like, oh, and the kid who missed the ball, well, we'll go in fast motion. Now the
kid who missed the ball and doesn't get it, uh-oh, wants to put it in the glove, gets grabbed. Judge
like, what am I going to do? This kid goes, oh, come on, Judge. That's, oh. This guy, little thumb
point. It's about as dad as you get. This kid, what's going on over here? They're all screaming
and yelling. And then the girls who are sitting in the row behind, not impressed. Look at this
kid. She's not impressed, but his buddies are. And he said, he handed it right to me.
He gave it to me. And she's like, I don't believe you. And that kid's like,
I can't believe that happened to me. And that's the story of the foul ball.
Surrounded by the jolly bozos. I'll show you a bozo. Daddy's home. Fun. I fucking hate that
that happened. I don't deserve to win this game, Zach. I'm going to pull myself from the whole league.
