May 18th NCAA Softball Regionals Update

Oklahoma State lit up Tulsa in a dominant showing, mashing multiple home runs including a grand slam. Kylie Naomi got the scoring going early and the Cowgirls never slowed down. Pitching didn’t seem to faze them, and the lack of a step before swinging surprised the viewer, who repeatedly pointed it out. Samantha Show stood out not just for her name but for her strong bat and flair with a pinwheel bat flip. Oklahoma State kept piling it on, scoring run after run and sealing an easy win.

Elsewhere, Michigan walked off James Madison in the 12th inning to notch a 16th straight win. Emotions ran high as the Wolverines celebrated while JMU looked crushed. In another game, Sam Houston State made a costly throw with a runner barely off the bag, leading to two runs. The mistake looked avoidable and left everyone scratching their heads.

Florida vs. Florida State featured the most impressive power display. Florida State hit four home runs in a row. Their pitcher gave up two before being pulled, only for her replacement to immediately surrender two more. The viewer noted that at least the original pitcher could now say it wasn’t all on her. Sydney Sherrill capped off the barrage, and the Seminoles put the game away with one explosive inning.
