Browns bully a Bucs defender to win in overtime, a breakdown

The Browns won in overtime by repeatedly targeting Bucs cornerback Carlton Davis III. On the first play of OT, the Browns threw at Davis. He bit on the route and missed badly, giving up extra yards after the catch. Trying to recover, he dove and whiffed. After a couple of short runs, the Browns went back to him on third down. They put the receiver in motion to throw Davis off. He slipped, ended up on the ground again, and gave up a long gain of about 47 yards. He tried to recover but couldn’t get up fast enough. The play put the Browns inside the Bucs’ five-yard line.

From there, things only got worse for Tampa. On the next play, two Bucs defenders ran into each other, making the defense look completely lost. Cleveland kept shifting the receiver in motion, continuing to mess with Davis. On the final run, Davis got pulled out of the play again while the Browns ran it inside for the win. Nick Chubb didn’t even celebrate, almost like he felt the Browns didn’t earn it. Davis walked off knowing he’d been picked on all drive. The blame clearly fell his way.
