Bill Belichick furious at refs (NFL Week 2 Recap), a breakdown

Week 2 of the NFL brought chaos, broken plays, and a few brutal flubs. In Washington, the Commanders pulled off a wild win over Denver thanks to a last-second Hail Mary that somehow connected after bouncing off multiple defenders. But they still needed a two-point conversion to tie, and that didn’t happen. There was some clear contact on the final play, but no flag. Commanders fans went nuts while Broncos fans stewed in disbelief.

In Philly, Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson made a great deep catch but lost the ball reaching for the goal line. It went through the end zone, which means a turnover, not a touchdown. Tough break for the Vikings. Cardinals fans were also let down after a strong start ended in a loss to the Giants, thanks to a second-half meltdown. New York fans celebrated hard, though one guy’s high five attempt got ignored as chaos broke out in the stands.

In the AFC East, Miami edged the Patriots, despite Bill Belichick losing it on the sideline after a questionable pass interference call. New England stayed alive late with a creative lateral pass on fourth down, but the ball ended up just short. Final play, loss sealed. Over in Tennessee, the Titans celebrated a go-ahead touchdown with a full crew behind the end zone going nuts. But in the final seconds, the Chargers had no time to respond, sacked on fourth down. Green Bay’s worst moment came when Jordan Love faked a sneak without the ball. Miscommunication, blown play, turnover on downs, and lots of sideline confusion. Another messy, weird, and entertaining week in the NFL.
