Somersaults, Bat Flops and Clubbies, Summer Camp has been a ton of fun, a breakdown

Summer camp brought out big moments and bigger laughs across MLB teams. Mike Clevinger served up a meatball to Francisco Lindor, who crushed it to center and added a somersault onto home plate just to rub it in. Clevinger had no choice but to laugh, while Lindor gave him a salute and full elbow-down landing on the bag. Even the catcher couldn’t believe it and just shook his head.

Over in White Sox camp, Tim Anderson lived up to his bat flip reputation. But Luis Robert tried to top him and ended up with a full-blown bat flop instead. He smoked the ball but lost his footing, tripping right after the swing. Still managed a last-second flip while falling, giving Anderson something to laugh at.

Dodgers camp may have had the best moment. Longtime clubhouse guy Chico, 30 years old and pitching batting practice for years, suited up in left field. Chris Taylor tested his arm after a deep catch, but Chico launched a laser to nail the tag-up attempt. Clean peg, perfect line, no chance. The dugout erupted. Taylor knew right away and took the teasing. Ross Stripling even requested Chico as his left fielder for the next game.
