Manny Machado gets ejected and is very mad, a breakdown

Manny Machado got tossed after striking out and immediately went off on the home plate umpire. The call that rang him up looked close, but Machado didn’t agree. He made a few comments right after the pitch, which got him an immediate ejection. That set him off. He unloaded on the ump, shouting profanity and accusing him of making bad calls all game. He was furious, yelling as he walked back to the dugout, calling the ump “terrible” and saying he’d been getting squeezed all night.

The ump explained he threw Machado out because Machado walked up to him after already being warned and called the strike “horseshit.” At that point, the ejection was automatic. Machado kept jawing after the toss, tossing his bat and continuing to vent his frustration on the way out. Fans nearby had mixed reactions—some shocked, some unfazed, some just distracted by their phones. The meltdown added one more chapter to Machado’s long history of not holding back when he thinks an ump blows a call.
