Cubs bullpen catcher Chad Noble had a rough start to his day when he showed up at work locked out of the bullpen. The video shows him visibly frustrated, tugging at the locked door and calling for help. It’s clear he hasn’t had his coffee yet and just wants to get inside his usual spot under the left-field bleachers. Players walk by without helping, some even laughing like it’s a prank. Things finally turn when a younger staffer walks up, digs into his pocket, and pulls out the key. He quietly opens the door, earning hero status as Noble walks in, relieved and ready to start his day.
Once inside, Noble settles into his usual setup with a taped-off chair next to the door and a bit of calm returning to the scene. Nothing major on the baseball side, but it’s a good look at the behind-the-scenes routines and small moments that make up a long season. Just a bullpen guy trying to get to work.
