Brewers come back in the 9th then walk it off in the 10th, a breakdown

The Brewers pulled off a wild comeback in their home opener against the Twins. Down three in the ninth with just one out to go, Minnesota had control until a hit-by-pitch put a runner on first. The next grounder should have been the second out, but instead of taking the easy force at first, the pitcher tried for a double play, and it fell apart. That left two on with one out. Then came the big moment. Milwaukee’s big bat, the former MVP, stepped up and smoked one to right. Kepler had a beat on it but dropped it, scoring one. The Brewers added another to cut the lead to one.

With two on and two out, Travis Shaw came up and tied the game with a bloop hit. The Twins escaped the inning but had blown the save. In extras, with Lorenzo Cain starting on second due to the new rule, a couple of singles followed by a chopper up the middle sealed the win for Milwaukee. Cain’s speed helped finish the job. Hader locked it down earlier with a dominant inning. After being one out away from a loss, the Brewers walked it off and celebrated with chest bumps and dance moves. Tough loss for the Twins, who had it in hand until everything unraveled at the end.
