Brewers Coach Got Real Mad at the Umpire, a breakdown

The Marlins and Brewers were in a tight spot with two runners on when the Marlins pitcher tried to lay down a bunt. The pitch went into the catcher’s glove as the pitcher pulled the bat back, but the Brewers wanted a check on whether he offered at it. Home plate umpire Marty Foster said no swing and didn’t bother checking with the first base umpire. Brewers bench coach Pat Murphy snapped, yelling that the batter clearly tried to bunt. Foster responded by tossing Murphy, which only made things worse.

Murphy put on a mask sarcastically, saying now the ump couldn’t read his lips. He kept yelling, pointing, and getting in Foster’s face. At one point, his mask slid down, and he dropped a loud “F you” straight at Foster. The whole thing got real heated, and Foster didn’t back down. He gave Murphy the boot, then walked off without flinching while the Brewers dugout boiled over.

This wasn’t the first time Foster frustrated Milwaukee. The video mentioned an earlier game where he blew an obstruction call. Now, with another questionable decision and no interest in getting help on a check swing, the tension snapped. The Brewers are fed up with Foster, and today’s sequence didn’t help his case.
