Texas and Houston battled into extra innings, tied at two. In the bottom of the 11th, Texas had two outs and runners on but managed to escape the jam. A freshman pitcher for Texas was locked in, relying heavily on his changeup. He struck out the first Houston batter on three straight changeups. The next at-bat, a senior for Houston stepped in. Texas stayed with the same pitch. The senior missed the first one but seemed to adjust, nodding to himself. On the third pitch, another changeup, he crushed it to left for a walk-off home run. He clearly picked up on something, either a pattern or a tell, and made Texas pay.
The celebration on the Houston side was wild. Water sprayed, players went nuts, and the strength and conditioning coach was front and center, flexing and yelling. The bat boy added his own scream and head smack to the mix. Someone brought out a hammer prop, adding to the chaos. The video ends with Houston players celebrating with their school song, full of energy and pride after the dramatic win.
