Archie Bradley gets betrayed by his fielders, a breakdown

The Diamondbacks were down 10-5, but Archie Bradley still wanted to finish the inning clean. He walked the leadoff hitter, then got a second out. When the next ball was hit to center, Jarrod Dyson sprinted in and nearly made the catch, but it slipped in and out of his glove. Christian Walker backed up the play, fielded the ball, and made a solid relay throw to get the runner at third. The play ended the inning, but not without damage to some egos.

Dyson looked crushed after the missed catch. Walker, who salvaged the play, didn’t seem thrilled either, maybe frustrated the whole thing even happened. Bradley was clearly upset. He refused to take the ball back from the infielders and walked off looking angry and embarrassed. Even with the out, the mood stayed tense. No one looked happy.
