Gleyber Torres capped off a walk-off win with an all-out celebration that quickly turned chaotic. After Stanton scored the winning run, the dugout exploded. Brett Gardner, Aaron Hicks, and others sprinted toward Torres, who stood no chance. Luis Severino let loose a shower of sunflower seeds while Tommy Kahnle threw himself into the pile. Players crashed into each other with zero regard for personal safety, determined to get Torres on the ground.
César came in with a second wave of seeds, and they finally dropped Gleyber. At that point, it turned into a heist — jokes flew about grabbing his wallet and keys before escaping the scene. Meanwhile, Cody Allen walked off the mound, totally ignoring the madness. Didi Gregorius tried to join in but missed his shot. Gardner finally got him, but not before Romine tried to prepare him for a Gatorade bath by pulling off his chest protector. Gatorade still didn’t land clean.
Alternate camera angles showed how wild it got. Even the first base coach gave a heads-up high-five before the swarm. Torres took the mobbing in stride while Clint Frazier and others laughed through the mess. The whole team looked like they were having way more fun than anything the minors could offer. It was full chaos and perfect team energy after a big win.
