A remote-controlled car with a rake beat a Roomba equipped with knives and a flying drone that could shoot fire. It wasn’t close. The rake car had the one weapon that could take out the drone—something to swat it from the sky. Once the drone was eliminated early, it turned into a two-on-one brawl the Roomba couldn’t win. The Roomba tried to close the distance and back into the rake, possibly to trap it or knock it off balance, but it never got control of the fight. The rake flung the drone out of play first, then shoved the Roomba toward a smasher to finish it off. There was a fake-out moment where it looked like the Roomba might land a good hit, but it didn’t amount to anything. The whole match ended with the rake car spinning victory laps and dunking the destroyed drone for good measure. Somehow, a rake built for leaves took down a knife-wielding robot and a fire drone.
