The Rangers and Bruins fight a lot, a breakdown

The Rangers and Bruins had a chaotic night filled with fights, and most of the action went down in the second period. It started when Rangers forward Brendan Lemieux hit a Bruins player from behind into the boards, drawing an obvious penalty. Soon after, tensions flared with a weak fight between two Bruins players, including McAvoy, who threw three huge misses and skated off acting like he’d landed them all. That set the tone for the night.

Then things got more serious between Lemieux and Trent Frederic. They dropped the gloves but kept their helmets on and started throwing with serious intent. Despite all the wild punches and body shots, most of them missed or hit gear. Frederic managed to land one strong elbow, but Lemieux answered with a clean shot to the face. The scrap looked worse in slow-mo, but still sparked plenty of chirping. Frederic, who looks young enough to be in juniors, kept mouthing off, calling Lemieux every name under the sun. Lemieux laughed it off from the bench.

Another fight broke out in the third, with different players throwing wild punches, some of which may have landed. It was hard to tell. The game was intense start to finish, reportedly even getting heated during warmups. Lemieux kept stirring the pot, chirping from the bench while watching replays of his hits. He seemed proud of the chaos he helped spark. The whole game was a mess of missed punches, landed shots, and non-stop trash talk.
