Lemieux bites Tkachuk, a breakdown

Things got wild in the Senators vs. Kings game when Brendan Lemieux ended up biting Brady Tkachuk—twice. It started with some typical pushing after a play near the goalie. Tkachuk didn’t like it, being the captain, and stepped in. Artem Zub joined the scrum, then things escalated fast. Lemieux wrestled Tkachuk to the ice, and in the chaos, Tkachuk looked at his hand and realized he’d been bitten. He showed the refs visible bite marks on his left knuckle and later on his right hand too. Tkachuk lost it, yelling at Lemieux from the penalty box, repeatedly calling him a loser, all while pointing out both wounds.

Refs tried to intervene but mostly added to the mess. The fight dragged on long enough for Tkachuk to land a quick jab to Lemieux’s head. Lemieux didn’t have much to say after the fact, sitting in the box while Tkachuk kept shouting at him. He eventually hit back with a dig about money, but no one seemed too impressed. Lemieux was hit with a double minor and a five-minute match penalty, while Tkachuk got a minor himself. Cameras caught everything, including Tkachuk yelling “he bit me” over and over. No excuse was made. Just straight-up human biting. Not something you see every night in hockey.
